Training CV

I’ve done a number of weekend courses, day-longs and self-directed studies; however, this is a list of my more intensive, extended trainings.

It’s also worth nothing that like most people, a lot of the things I’ve learned the most from had nothing to do with formal trainings, like deeply intimate relationships, spending years traveling & living in the developing world, saying goodbyes, plant medicines, or having my world crumble around me many times over.  In any case:

Notes:

*I’ve bolded what were for me the most transformative experiences.  Curiously, it seems to be mostly the “firsts”—the first retreat of any kind (Agama yoga), the first silent meditation retreat (10 day Vipassana), the first living in a spiritual community (Upaya Zen Center), the first long silent meditation retreat (8 week Vipassana), and the first very long meditation retreat (21 month Vipassana).

*As of Autumn 2018, total days on silent meditation retreat: 824.
